To be the best version of yourself, you have to change and adapt throughout life.

No one is the complete package, we have to keep ourselves in check. Perform that self MOT and re-evaluate what you are doing, where you are going and what you want from life. Do this regularly.

No-one should settle, we owe it to ourselves to live our best lives.

I wasn’t seeking change when it happened to me.

There is a normally a defining moment, sometimes it is a positive defining moment, however defining moments that push you to change something can also be challenging, such as:

🟢 The job you hate (but refuse to leave) pushing you over the edge

🟢 That final straw with friends that treat you badly

🟢 Habitual poor eating making you feel bad about yourself

🟢 Lack of sleep causing you to make silly mistakes

🟢 Your mental health paralysing you and pushing you into even darker places…

🟢 The list is endless

Have you had that defining moment in your life yet?

There is a moment, when it feels like someone has flicked a switch on in your brain and the biggest brightest light has been turned on. That is the first step to making a change.

Mine happened when I was lying on a Yoga Mat, attending a class in Chobham, Surrey.

In the midst of my mental health struggles, I was searching for something to improve my wellbeing, so I attended a yoga class.

The theme of the class was change.

The yoga teacher read out the following quotes at the end of the class:

” Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you “

” Do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to, is better than the one to come? “

These two quotes hit me hard and in that moment, I decided to let go of all my fears about failure and decided to pursue my passion in fitness. I made a huge life decision on a yoga mat!

I left my job in corporate medical sales and all the benefits, reputation, stability, income and security it provided.

From that moment, I took baby steps to create what is now Power & Pole!

Going into the unknown is scary but if you never try, you will never know.

It is ok to CHANGE, no matter how old you are, it is never too late to change direction.

Reach out and talk about the changes you want to make in your life, you will be surprised with how many people are thinking exactly like you!

It’s good to talk and it’s good to CHANGE.
